A "Mod" Fall Wedding - September 25th

Kassie and Todd were married at Lionscrest on September 25, 2010. Their wedding set many trends that we are now seeing for 2011: beautiful textures, natural setting, contemporary elegance, cool lounge settings and a touch of Hollywood Glamour. Every detail of their wedding was thoughtfully planned and executed by Kathy Vaughan with A Beautiful Memory.

Kassie's Hollywood Glamour look was stunning. She bought her ivory strapless gown from Felice Bridal in Denver.  Kassie customized the dress by adding a halter strap. Tucked away under her dress were rhinestone embellished Jimmy Choos. Kassie tied together the bridesmaids by allowing them to chose different styles of dresses.  The bridesmaids looked elegant in black.

Their ceremony was held in Lionscrest's outdoor ceremony lawn. The ceremony was elegant and romantic with a touch of whimsy. Jesse with Design Works transformed the natural setting into a romantic haven by adding a spectacular white gazebo and lining the aisle with ample white hydrangeas. Michael with Pure Sounds Productions along with our staff worked to time the bridal parties entrance. Kassie and Todd honored their nephews as ring bearers by naming them Lord of the Rings. The two boys entered into the ceremony to the theme song from the movie.
The couple wanted to provide a cool lounge setting in the cocktail space for their guests to enjoy. Design Works brought in white sofas, zebra lounge chairs, area rugs, glass cabarets and coffee tables to complete the look.  Guests enjoyed Bloody Mary's, a quesadilla action station and passed hors d'oeuvres.

The trend setting style of Kassie and Todd’s wedding continued into their reception. Kassie and Todd hired Design Works to bring in a mix of table shapes and sizes. Their reception was the epitome of contemporary elegance. The couple chose to use a variety of white flowers to create beautiful textures. Romantic candlelight invited their guests into dinner.

The event was catered by A Spice of Life Catering in Boulder. Spice always does any amazing job with their service, style and of course delicious food. Here is the menu from the event to tantalize your taste buds.

After the toasting and desserts the couple and their guests danced the night away with the Celebration Nation Band.

As the event wrapped up, guests were greeted with a custom LED light up candy bar.  Kassie and Todd wanted their guests to enjoy some of their favorite candies as a thank you for sharing in their special day. Each guest grabbed a monogrammed takeout box  and packed it with sweet treats.
A Note from Kathy (Mother of the Bride and Coordinator with A Beautiful Memory):
It was important to me that I treat my daughter and her fiancé like any other bride and groom I work with and let them make the decisions.  My goal was for their wedding to be what they wanted and to reflect their personalities, not mine.  It was wonderful to be able to incorporate so many things I had done over the years in other weddings.  It was also very special to be able to have my own life event at Lionscrest Manor.
